Focus on the horizon
This is my first blog, so please be gentle...
I’m a woman, a wife and a Mom. And in the middle of the pandemic, I decided to pivot my career. I started my very first Salesforce trailhead in December 2020 and I got my Salesforce Administrator Certification on May 2, 2021 at exactly 9:30AM. Yes, I know the exact moment Webassessor showed me that I passed because it’s the 3rd greatest moment of my life — right up there with the day I got married and the birth of my child. That’s how elated I was!
Now, I’m in the zone, riding the wave, “in the barrel” so to speak and I’m focused on the horizon — moving towards a bright new career in Salesforce.
What next? Continuous learning! I still do trailheads to learn cool new tricks in Salesforce. Google is my BEST FRIEND. I’m looking to get a second certification and I’m also fortunate to be currently working as a Salesforce Admin at Purple Maia Foundation in their development shop.
At PMF, I work on real projects to gain amazing experiences. I’ve also learned about “stand-ups,” slack, scrum, draw.io, and trello. The projects vary in scope and it’s amazing to see what we can accomplish. Follow me on this blog and I’ll show you some of the fun things I’m building…
